Terms of business...more
We want to establish long-term relationships with our clients. We will invest our own time in getting to know you and your business in order to understand your culture and the business challenges you face and to tailor our legal solutions to suit your needs.
We will work with you in the way that suits you. Where required we can project manage complex legal transactions as well as providing legal advice freeing you to concentrate on the core business function. We are experienced at steering and driving forward multi-party transactions such as co-productions.
We will establish with you the core objectives and degree of involvement you wish to have never losing sight of the fact that the legal and contractual issues are a means to the end and not the end in themselves!
We will communicate with you clearly, in plain English, avoiding the use of jargon.
We will be transparent about the basis of our charges. We will not make any charge for responding to any initial telephone or email enquiry to establish whether we can help you in a particular matter. If you decide to retain us we will agree with you before work begins the basis on which we will charge you and this information, together with the other terms on which we agree to act for you, will be provided to you in writing before we commence work.
We will consider new and innovative bases of charging for our services including value based billing where the charging structure reflects the value to your business of the work being carried out as well as factors relevant to our business such as complexity, risk and urgency.
As a newly established business we appreciate the importance of being able to budget for expenditure and see no reason why legal fees should be an exception. In many cases it is possible to quote a fixed fee for the work we carry out. For more complex or multi-party transactions where costs cannot be predicted we can help you to budget for our fees by advising you of fees incurred at agreed stages.
You can view Forte Law’s current Terms of Business which includes the current hourly charge out rate in respect of our services on the News and Comment section of this website.
